people have told me , to put joy happiness back in my life. that sounds great. there is one huge problem with that. I forgot... you may ask how in hell is that possible?.. or that's not possible.
its like a working out , and you stop going to the gym and weight machines you will loose that muscle mass over time . it gets looser and smaller... and when a person tries to work out muscles after sometime when they are weak and under nourished . it is NOT going to happen very fast , it may take years for a person, while others see that person maybe working out for maybe 30 minutes while they work out for hours and wonder why they cant do it longer,, simple, their body cant physically do that like that anymore.
another example mentally try taking a 11th grade calculus test after you haven't done it for years , chances are you will fail. cause you haven't had the tools, the teaching or study material...
So when a person dealing with grief chances are their joy has been something in a memory, they can reflect on those joyful times , but they lost the map their gps guidance the address to their joy. to go back they have to do it by memory, but anyone who has gone threw extreme grief is memory lose, we look for our joy our happiness but its in the forest in the dark you search on hands and knees trying now to find your way out, without a rescue team.. if your lost in the forest most people never get out unless someone is looking for them. Its almost like when the lost person is on top of a mountain and can see and hear people .. and no one sees them waving their arms . a rescue team has to keep searching working with others until the person is found ,and then trys to help them find what they are searching, people give up hope or patience and the lost person sees them turn back down the mountain, they can also lose patience and hope on themselves.
So joy can be forgotten. just like a person can feel like they have been and confused if the can find themselves and their joy.. so when ask yourselves are you gonna be their hope for joy or their hindrance... be there , amazing what 10 seconds out of the day will do for someone struggling. the too busy is not a excuse... I know I have reached out and try to help others like listening being there or sharing this blog, but sometimes I'm exhausted and need help.... sometimes I see flashes of my joy just hasn't ignited........
